Letting standards slip
The two-star poor service category has shrunk from 13 to nine this year.
Top of the pile is Henderson Global Investors, which is down from last year’s three-star category. The only companies remaining in the two-star service category from 2014 are BNY Mellon, Columbia Threadneedle, Neptune and Allianz Global Investors.
Joining the two-star service category from last year’s three-star service category – alongside Henderson – are JP Morgan Asset Management, Invesco Perpetual, Legal & General Investment Management and M&G Investments.
Investment providers that are no longer in this service category are Alliance Trust Investments and Kames Capital. Both are now in the three-star service category. Scottish Provident and Cater Allen, both part of Santander, did not enter this year, while Axa Framlington is now part of Axa Wealth. Friends Life merged with Aviva earlier this year.
Jupiter Asset Management, BlackRock, and Aberdeen Asset Management are in the one-star service category this year.
