Henderson in pan-Euro offering

Henderson Global Investors has extended its equity dividend offering, with the launch of the Horizon Pan European Dividend Income Fund.

The fund will be managed by Nick Sheridan, who also manages the Henderson Horizon Euroland Fund. Mr Sheriden will use a similar strategy, identifying stocks that offer the biggest discount to fair value.

Key features

• The Luxemburg-domiciled fund will have Ucits status and be denominated in euros

• The fund aims to deliver income above the market average from pan-European stocks

• The fund will identify high-yielding European companies priced below their intrinsic value

Adviser view

Matthew Bird, financial planner at Cardiff-based Seer Green Financial Planning, said: “The euro is not that high risk, so long as Henderson’s new fund spreads itself across the zone with good exposure to Germany then this is good. So long as the fund invests in quality companies, then the quality will shine though and currency exposure will not matter too much.”
