Former tennis pro Tim Henman was the apple of the nation’s eye at the height of his career, and the sentiment remains, judging by the performance of the crowd at the 2015 Champions Tennis tournament on 2 December.

Familiar cheers of “Come on, Tim” rung around the Royal Albert Hall, where the former UK number one faced off against US ex-tennis pro James Blake during the non-competitive event, sponsored by Aegon.

In the absence of Hawk-Eye technology, challenges were handled by the Henman-smitten audience – to the detriment of American Mr Blake.
