L&G broadens scope of critical illness cover

L&G has announced changes to its critical illness cover to incorporate the ABI’s statement of best practice 2014.

A number of illnesses have received minor definition wording changes, to bring them in line with the latest ABI statement of best practice, and L&G has improved its interactive online tool, AnatoME, to inform advisers about the different illnesses that their policies cover.

■ Spinal stroke has been added to L&G’s critical illness cover policies
■ Motor neurone disease now exceeds ABI definition
