While equity exposure remains the core growth asset for Miton’s multi-asset fund range, co-manager David Jane said the mix has been changed to preserve capital.
Miton multi-asset has moved away from mid-sized growth and cyclical businesses into larger, more defensive businesses, particularly those with sustainable dividends.
Mr Jane said: “This strategy enables us to continue to maintain a material equity weight should the market re-accelerate, while better protecting the downside in this uncertain environment.”
