She will report to SBG’s sales director, Mark Graves, and work alongside the group’s senior product manager, Rob McCoy.

Ms Benjamin responsible for leading and managing the SBG’s day-to-day relationships with new and existing lenders.

Her appointment comes as Lauren Bagley takes up the role of marketing manager at SBG.

Also reporting to Mr Graves, Ms Bagley has 10 years of financial services experience in roles at LSL Group and Legal & General Insurance.

In her new role she will have responsibility for promoting the SBG’s range of services and support to its mortgage club and network members, along with driving greater adviser insight to help improve and develop new services.

SBG sales director Mark Graves said: “SBG has a strong track record of securing the best products and exclusives for its members. Today’s announcement is a further demonstration of how we are investing in order to remain at the forefront of this important area.

“With new lenders joining the market all the time and more innovative products, we are committed to delivering the strongest mortgage and protection proposition in the market for advisers to offer their new and existing clients.

“The experience that Jane and Lauren bring will be valuable to our team and will help us to deliver on our ambitious plans for our business, members and customers.”

Ms Benjamin said: “There is a real commitment and focus across the group to put customers and our members at the heart of everything we do. I am looking forward to helping the team deliver a market-leading mortgage and protection proposition for advisers and their customers.”

The new appointments follow Jeff Woods being appointed as business development director earlier this month.

He was previously national accounts director at Vitality Life, and has 25 years of industry experience, having started his career at Royal Sun Alliance and held senior positions at Linear Mortgage Network, Pink Home Loans and PruProtect.

Mr Woods also reports to SBG sales director Mr Graves.

Mr Graves himself only moved to the firm at the start of December, having previously been the boss of the Pink Network.

At the start of September, SBG confirmed an executive team reshuffle, following the completion of its strategic review, with head of mortgages and general insurance John Cupis leaving the business.

His replacement Lisa Martin also left just three weeks after being promoted to the position.
