Schroders EM head Conway to retire

Schroders head of emerging market (EM) equities Allan Conway is to retire later this year, to be replaced by Tom Wilson.

Mr Wilson is currently a fund manager within the firm’s global emerging market (Gem) equities team. He will take over leading the team and all management reponsibilities on Mr Conway’s funds.

Mr Conway became head of EM equities 11 years ago and currently co-manages the Schroder Global Emerging Markets, ISF Latin America and ISF Global Emerging Markets Opportunities funds.

He will continuing leading the funds and team while handing over responsbilities to Mr Wilson by August. He is set to remain working with the fund house in an advisory capacity.

Before joining the Gem team as a fund manager in November 2014, Mr Wilson was head of EMEA equities for seven years.

“Tom’s proven investment track record and leadership skills mean he is the right person for the job.”
