British Friendly hires Vitality’s Telfer

British Friendly has hired Nick Telfer in the newly created role of head of product and propositions.

Mr Telfer, who was technical product manager at Vitality, will join at the beginning of March.

Prior to joining Vitality, he was head of research at Defaqto.

In his new role he will oversee British Friendly’s proposition strategy, product development, member benefits, market intelligence, and manage relationships with key networks and portals.

Mr Telfer said: “We’ve already seen some interesting initiatives from British Friendly this year, including online auto acceptance, and releasing a decade of claims statistics, alongside films and case studies to support advisers.

“There will be much more to come during 2016 and beyond.”

Iain Clark, marketing and distribution director at British Friendly, said: “Nick comes with a highly respected reputation and we are very pleased he decided to join British Friendly.

“2016 has been a busy year for us already, and significant new hires will help further solidify our position in the market.
