Big Figure

FTSE 100 companies are £62bn in deficit, according to the latest figures.

Data from JLT Employee Benefits’ monthly index, which shows the funding position of all UK private sector defined benefit (DB) pension schemes under standard accounting measure (IAS19), revealed that FTSE 350 companies were £72bn in deficit.

The total deficit for all UK private sector pension schemes was £209bn.
