Investec Wealth restructures management team

Investec Wealth and Investment (IW&I) has restructured its senior management team with four new appointments.

Tom Street will fill the newly created role of managing director at IW&I UK, while senior investment directors Matt Beddall, Carl Cross, and Richard Greenhalgh will head IW&I’s offices in Sheffield, Liverpool and Manchester, respectively.

Previously head of investment management at IW&I, Mr Street will be responsible for all client-facing areas including financial planning, private office and the Aim division. He will continue to oversee investment management and will assume responsibility for research, investment risk, projects and marketing.

Mr Beddall will replace Mr Street as head of the Sheffield office, where he has worked for more than 15 years and is currently responsible for managing funds for individuals, trustees, charities and pension funds.

Mr Cross will take over the Liverpool office, where he has worked for more than 20 years, from Jon Seal, who will retire in 2017. Mr Cross manages funds for a range of clients and helped develop the company’s private client discretionary fund management department, as well as heads the office’s marketing committee.

Mr Greenhalgh, who has been with the company since 2007, will take over the Manchester office form Jonathan Quick, who will retire later this year. Mr Greenhalgh currently provides discretionary management services for advisers across the North West.

Jonathan Wragg, chief executive of IW&I, said: “This new structure is an important step forward as it will provide further support for our business as we continue to expand while ensuring that our service to our existing client base is enhanced further.”
