New lender Zest to enter mortgage market

The already busy mortgage market looks set to have another new entrant, as Zest Mortgage prepares to launch.

The firm was set up via Companies House on 16 November and registered to a business centre in Nottingham.

René Reimer is listed as the director, John Robinson is chief technology officer and Christopher Slater is chief operating officer.

Two other businesses, Zest Finance and Zest Capital, were also set up on the same day as Zest Mortgage and operate from the same office.

Mr Robinson and Mr Slater are founders and partners of consultancy International Risk Partnership, while Mr Reimer is a director of Zest Finance and the sole director of Zest Capital.

However, a job advert for experienced mortgage administrators for a ‘new independent mortgage provider’ opening from the same Nottingham address suggests there may be more staff on the way.

The firm could not be reached for comment, so no further information could be garnered.

Several mortgage brokers were contacted for comment, but none had ever heard of the new firm.
