Schroders’ Yasmine Ellis has joined Kames Capital as business development manager as the company continues to expand its UK wholesale team.
Ms Ellis will report to UK regional sales head Mark Savage, and manage the firm’s relationships with UK private banks, financial institutions, fund of funds, discretionary and advisory wealth managers, stockbrokers and family offices in London.
Ms Ellis had worked in the business development team at Schroders since 2009, where she covered UK multi-managers, private banks, wealth managers, family offices and fund of hedge funds.
Before Schroders she was part of the sales team at Gartmore and the investor relations team at Liongate.
Mr Savage said: “Yasmine has solid experience in the UK wholesale market and we are confident that the skills and knowledge she brings to the team will allow us to build on our extensive client base.”
Hari Patel also joined the UK wholesale distribution team as a business development consultant in March this year, from his previous role as an investment sales manager at Jupiter Asset Management.
Last month Kames recruited Rory Sandilands from Goldman Sachs as an investment manager on its fixed income team, as well as David Ennett from Standard Life Investments as head of investment strategy to replace Claire McGuckin.
The company also hired Juan Valenzuela, who joined from Alliance Trust in October 2015 as co-manager on its Strategic Bond fund.
