Monson stands down as Sarasin managing partner

Sarasin & Partners’ Guy Monson has relinquished his role as managing partner in order to focus on his duties as chief investment officer.

Mr Monson, who has served as managing partner for nearly a decade, will continue to lead the asset manager’s investment and market strategy for clients.

Guy Matthews, who joined the company in 1994, has agreed to take over as managing partner, and will lead the business as well as chair its executive committee.

Mr Matthews has been chief operating officer since 2010, and will be succeeded in this role by head of operations Tim Temple.

The firm has also expanded its partnership to include Mr Temple and five other employees from across the business.
