FCA’s Percival to launch consultancy in November

Rory Percival, who is currently technical specialist at the Financial Conduct Authority, will launch his consultancy on 1 November.

Mr Percival, who announced his departure from the City watchdog last month, confirmed he would be opening the doors to his new venture in a few week’s time.

His business will focus on financial services training and consultancy, and according to Companies House, the firm will be called Rory Percival Training and Consultancy LTD.

The private limited company was incorporated on 9 August 2016, and will be based in St Alban’s, Hertfordshire.

According to its articles of association, filed at Companies House, Mr Percival is the sole director.

Mr Percival joined the then Financial Services Authority in 2006.

He was involved with several pieces of legislation and guidance, such as the Retail Distribution Review, suitability of advice and the use of platforms by intermediaries.

Before joining the regulator, he was training and compliance director for advisory firm Fiona Price & Partners, from 1996 to 2006.
