FundsNetwork adds DFM service

Fidelity-owned platform FundsNetwork has followed in the footsteps of its platform rivals by giving advisers access to a range of model portfolios from discretionary fund manager (DFM) PortfolioMetrix.

Paul Richards, head of sales at FundsNetwork, said advisers have been keen to see the DFM service included on the platform.

FundsNetwork has been incorporating DFM services on its platform since 2011, when it added Vestra Wealth.

Aegon UK announced on 31 August that it had added a range from PortfolioMetrix to its platform Arc.

Standard Life, Nucleus, Alliance Trust Savings, Transact and Wealthtime also offer the DFM service on their platforms.

Dave Chessell, UK distribution director at PortfolioMetrix, said he had seen “real momentum” with the major platforms.
