BMO hires UK sales director for ETF push

BMO Global Asset Management has appointed Christine Cantrell as UK sales director of exchange traded funds (ETFs) as the company plans to expand its range.

Ms Cantrell will be responsible for developing relationships with both retail and wholesale clients in the UK and will report to BMO’s head of UK intermediary Rob Thorpe.

Prior to joining BMO, Ms Cantrell spent two years on the UK sales team at State Street Global Advisors where she managed distribution to the UK intermediary market.

Before State Street she was a director for UK and Ireland sales at ETF Securities.

Mr Thorpe said: “Christine’s extensive ETF sales experience and understanding of investors’ requirements will be invaluable in supporting the ambitious growth plans we have for the business.”

BMO launched its range of nine income-focused ETFs for the European and UK market last year.
