Kames Capital has poached another specialist from Standard Life Investments (SLI) as it continues to expand its high yield team.
Jack Holmes has joined Kames as an investment manager on its high-yield bond team, making him the third addition to the team this year and the second from SLI.
Mr Holmes was an analyst on SLI’s European high yield team covering sectors including general industrials, waste and recycling, and oil and gas services.
David Ennett, who Mr Holmes will report to, joined Kames from SLI earlier this year as head of high yield, while Phil Milburn recently returned to the business after a leave of absence.
Kames’s head of fixed income David Roberts said: “The appointment of Jack to our team further strengthens our high yield capabilities and, coupled with the recent return of Phil and the appointment of David, I would say that Kames now has one of the most experienced and recognised high yield franchises across the UK and Europe.”
