SFO opens criminal investigation into investment

The director of the Serious Fraud Office has opened a criminal investigation into an alleged fraudulent investment scheme marketed by Ethical Forestry Limited and associated companies.

The period the SFO is investigating is between 2007 and 2015.

As part of the investigation, the SFO, in conjunction with Dorset Police, have today executed search warrants at three addresses in Dorset (Poole, Ferndown and Boscombe).

The SFO encourages members of the public who have invested in these schemes to complete a questionnaire that can be found on the SFO website at https://sfovla.egressforms.com/.

This questionnaire is secure and investors' information will be protected when using this reporting mechanism.

The SFO stated it is unable to provide any further comment as the investigation continues.
