Intrinsic poaches Tenet's Davidson

Intrinsic has poached Tenet’s group regulatory director Gill Davidson to oversee the network’s risk and compliance strategy.

She will take over from Wallace Dobbin as chief risk officer and will join Intrinsic in late December.

Mr Dobbin is retiring from full time employment but will continue with his non-executive director commitments and will remain with the business while Ms Davidson transitions into the role.

Intrinsic chief executive Andy Thompson said: “Wallace has been a vital part of Intrinsic’s success and on behalf of all my colleagues I’d like to thank him for the valuable contribution he has made to our business journey.

“It was really important for the network to find a candidate with the right experience and expertise to ensure Intrinsic and its advisers can continue to grow and succeed within a controlled environment.

“Gill brings a wealth of experience to the intrinsic board and she will be invaluable in ensuring we have a robust risk and control framework in place to provide a secure foundation for our ongoing growth plans.”

Joining the Intrinsic board, Ms Davidson will report to both Mr Thompson and Old Mutual Wealth chief risk officer, Iain Wright.

Since 2013 she has held the role of group regulatory director with Tenet and before that she held senior roles with Coventry Building Society and Skipton Building Society.

At Intrinsic, Ms Davidson will oversee the network’s risk and compliance strategy.

The role will focus particularly on ensuring processes and controls are designed to facilitate the delivery of good customer outcomes.

Ms Davidson said: “The financial advice industry continues to undergo significant transformation and there is a big opportunity for Intrinsic to build on its remarkable growth to date.

“I’m delighted to be joining an ambitious company that recognises the importance of delivering positive customer outcomes.”
