Punter Southall Aspire appoints financial planning head
Bryan Parkinson, managing director for financial planning at Punter Southall Aspire

Punter Southall Aspire has appointed Bryan Parkinson as managing director of its financial planning business.

Mr Parkinson joins the firm from Gallagher Benefits Services UK, where he was managing director of wealth.

He has previously held senior positions at firms including Standard Life, where he was chief executive of Standard Life Client Management and Barclays Wealth, where he was head of private clients.

He has also been managing director at Towergate Financial.

In his role, he will look to expand the business both organically and through further acquisitions.

The firm has made a number of acquisitions in this market over the past two years.

It bought Bedfordshire-based JDP Financial Services in October 2018, having acquired Focus Oxford LLP earlier in the year.

The advice firm completed a hat-trick of acquisitions when it bought Coleman Financial Services, a Dorset-based firm, at the start of 2019

Mr Parkinson said: “My new role will be exciting as they are an ambitious company, who are driving market innovation.

“They have a highly experienced team of financial planners in a number of UK regions who are supported by cutting-edge technology and can, therefore, serve their clients in the best possible way.

“As I am joining the firm relatively early into its growth journey, I am looking forward to using my experience to help accelerate its expansion.”

According to the firm, it has £4.3bn assets under advice with 200,000 members and 1,600 private clients.
