NextGen partners with Financial Adviser Mentorship

NextGen Planners are joining forces with the Financial Adviser Mentorship group (FAM), which focuses on supporting students and second careerists looking to develop careers in financial planning.

As of today, FAM will have its private social network enabling members of the community to access more content from both FAM and NextGen Planners.

FAM founder Benjamin Beck said: “Since launching FAM in November 2020 we have grown to over 400 members and we have been proud to provide free resources to this membership which have so far seen 13 people gain employment.

“With NextGen Planners supporting the next stage our development we will have the technology and expertise to build a stronger offering to more people seeking jobs in the profession.”

Over the past six months FAM has provided webinars and exam support using a network of volunteers including well known members of the financial planning profession.

Adam Owen, head of content at NextGen Planners, said: "Ben and the wider team at FAM have done a great job in a really short time. This collaboration means that we can support FAM whilst expanding on the work we do in universities with the NextGen Planners Boot Camp program. I am delighted that FAM is joining alongside our partner communities in the USA and South Africa to expand the NextGen Planners family.”

Beck added: “We couldn’t have got to this stage without the support of so many experienced advisers and business owners and I am delighted that our supporters will be staying with us as we migrate the group to a new, exciting, private social network.

"With the support of NextGen Planners this will remain free to our members.”

Current members of FAM will be able to join today (May 13), however it will only be open to new members from June 1, 2021.
