Income stars Evenlode ponder global offering

Evenlode Investment could launch a global offering following the success of its £1.2bn UK equity Income fund.

Ben Peters, who runs the fund with Hugh Yarrow, said a global offering could be put to work using the boutique asset manager's existing investment process. The pair invest in stocks known for being "asset light" with growing cash flows and dividends.

Mr Peters added: "We feel applying this process to a wider global mandate could potentially be a natural evolution for the firm."

"We are considering the potential launch of a complementary income-focused strategy for UK investors that would seek to replicate the Evenlode process on a global remit," he said.

The current UK income fund has gained strong traction since its 2009 launch, and remains popular among fund buyers. In 2014 it was added into John Chatfeild-Roberts' Jupiter Merlin range.

Last year it was among those offerings to fall foul of the IA UK Equity Income sector's yield requirements. The duo have returned 42 per cent over three years, far above the IA UK All Companies sector average of 20 per cent.
