FCA begins website update

The Financial Conduct Authority has started an update on its website to make it easier for users to navigate around.

In an update today (July 20), the FCA said over the coming months, there will be changes to the site as it reviews and refreshes the content and design.

“We want the website to be easier to navigate to help you find what you are looking for and to know when information has been updated,” it wrote.

The regulator said it is reviewing the content to make information as clear and accessible as possible.

“Our website refresh has started with an updated homepage and about us section,” it said.

Last month, the FCA said it is going to start to allocate seven-digit numbers for firm reference numbers and product reference numbers for newly registered funds and companies.

In an update at the time, it said it has been using six-digit FRNs to identify firms and the same number for PRNs to identify funds.

However, it is going to reach the six-digit limit (999999) during 2023 as a result of the volume of applications and notifications it receives.
