Deutsche AM launches low-cost bond ETF range

Deutsche Asset Management has added its five-strong of fixed income exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to its Core range as they seek to provide "low-cost" exposure to US and euro markets.

The five ETFs will sit under the db x-trackers 'Core' range brand, and provide access to eurozone government bonds, US Treasuries, credit denominated in euros and US dollars and the euro high-yield space.

The vehicles, which use direct physical replication, have total expense ratios ranging from 15 to 35 basis points.

Simon Klein, Deutsche Asset Management's head of ETF sales, Emea and Apac, said: "We already have low-cost db X-trackers Core ETFs covering major equity benchmarks, and investors will now welcome a similar focus on efficiency on the fixed income side."

The US-denominated funds will offer euro-hedged share classes, and all five instruments are listed in London. Deutsche Asset Management said there were currently no plans to offer sterling-hedged share classes.
