Schroders has replaced Rosemary Banyard, the former co-manager of its £159m UK Mid Cap investment trust, with ex-Hargreave Hale manager Jean Roche.

Ms Banyard, co-head of pan-European small companies and co-manager on a number of the asset manager's offerings, left Schroders in late 2015 to pursue other opportunities after 17 years at the fund house.

Ms Roche joined Schroders' pan-European small and mid cap team at the start of this year, after two years at Hargreave Hale. She previously worked in equity research, latterly at Panmure Gordon.

Ms Roche has now been appointed as a co-manager to Andy Brough, who remains the UK Mid Cap trust's lead manager.
