SLI hires investment head from Aberdeen

Standard Life Investments (SLI) has appointed Archie Struthers of Aberdeen Asset Management to the role of head of investments.

Mr Struthers, who served as global head of investment solutions at Aberdeen, takes up the new role in January.

He will report to chief investment officer Rod Paris and focus on areas including investment governance and the MyFolio offering.

The move comes as replacement for the retiring Bill Lambert, who steps down in March after some 13 years with the firm.

Mr Paris said: "Archie has a blend of direct investment experience and client relationship management, across geographies, asset classes and investment channels which will equip him well for this broad investment management leadership role."
