JPMAM's Flanders exits for Bloomberg

JPMorgan Asset Management's (JPMAM) UK and Europe chief market strategist Stephanie Flanders is to leave the fund house after almost four years to head up a new department at media and data group Bloomberg.

Ms Flanders (pictured), who left her role as BBC economics editor in 2013 to join the asset manager, will leave later this year to head up a new department at Bloomberg.

Ms Flanders, who had previously been a journalist at the BBC, New York Times and Financial Times, has become a key figure in JPMAM's strategy team as well as a prominent spokesperson.

She will head up Bloomberg Economics and joins the firm in October.

She said: "I've learned a huge amount at JPMorgan. But I've always wanted not just to understand the global economy, but to explain it to others."
