Sanlam hires ex-Neptune head Parker

Charlie Parker, whose most recent role was head of distribution at Neptune Asset Management, has joined Sanlam as head of portfolio management.

Sanlam UK, part of the international financial services group headquartered in South Africa, provides wealth management, financial planning, investment management, self-invested personal pensions and Isas.

Mr Parker’s role at Sanlam is to grow the business and develop the company’s proposition.

Mr Parker previously spent just more than three years at Neptune, initially as head of strategy, then head of distribution.

He began his career as a journalist with Citywire, before moving into a commercial role with the company, then joining Neptune.

John White, chief executive of Sanlam UK’s wealth division, said: “Charlie is a highly talented professional with an impressive wealth of experience in financial services.

"I look forward to working with him and bringing his significant skill-set to fruition as we seek to grow our business and deliver a high quality service to our clients.”
