Kames launches US push for its global funds

Asset manager Kames Capital has registered with the US regulator, the Securities and Exchange Commision (SEC) as it markets its global equity funds in the US.

Kames announced on 16 October that its Kames Global Equity Income strategy and the Kames Global Sustainable Equity funds will be available to US investors.

The £414m Kames Global Equity Income fund has returned 61 per cent over the past three years to date, compared with 51 per cent for the average fund in the Foreign Offshore registered International sector in the same time period.

The £51m Kames Sustainable Global Equity fund has returned 20 per cent over the past year, compared with 12 per cent for the average fund in the Foreign Offshore Ethical sector in the same time period.

The distribution for the funds in the US will be handled by Aegon Asset Management, parent company of Kames, and an establishment business in the US market.
