Miton Optimal launch managed portfolio service

MitonOptimal, an fund house based in the Channel Islands, is to launch a managed portfolio service in the UK.

Miton Optimal was spun out from the UK-domiciled Miton PLC several years ago.

It runs a range of multi-asset funds that are not available to UK investors.

It acquired Bath-based Coram Asset Management, which itself was founded by former employees of Miton PLC, last summer.

It will continue to market the Coram Multi-Asset funds in the UK and Coram Asset Management will be rebranded as Miton Optimal UK.

This summer Miton Optimal acquired Minerva Fund Managers, a discretionary fund management company in the UK.

The multi-asset funds will be run under the Miton Optimal brand.

The managed portfolio service will encompass both risk weighted funds and socially responsible investments.

Paul Warner, who previously worked at Minerva, will run the managed portfolio services.

The funds will have an ongoing charge of 0.3 per cent.
