JP Morgan fund manager dies aged 44

Sarah Emly, who jointly ran the £487m JP Morgan Claverhouse Investment Trust and the £118m JP Morgan Income and Capital Trust, has died, at the age of 44.

Ms Emly had battled ill health in recent years. A statement to the stock exchange from the board of the JP Morgan Claverhouse investment trust said Ms Emly was an “inspiration”.

She had jointly run the Claverhouse trust since 2006.

John Baker will now act as sole manager of the JP Morgan Income and Capital Trust. William Meadon will continue at the helm of the JP Morgan Claverhouse trust.

Ms Elmy had worked at JP Morgan since 1995, and became a fund manager in 1999.
