Advisers face ongoing blackout on Aviva platform

Investment advisers using the Aviva for Advisers platform face another day of restricted service as the upgrade to the platform has not been completed on schedule.

As FTAdviser previously reported, the Aviva for Advisers platform has been out of action since 6pm on Wednesday 17 January for upgrade work.

It was due to come back online today, (Monday 22 January).

When the service outage was first announced, Aviva platform chief executive Tim Orton said the changes would provide greater certainty for advisers at a time of heightened political uncertainty.

The changes are to allow Aviva to move to the FNZ Technology Service.

But a representative of the company said the full functions of the platform will not be available as scheduled on 22 January, as work is still being carried out.

The spokesman said: “Our priority is ensuring a safe and compliant migration so we are continuing to work through the planned checks.”
