Artemis promotes two to partner

Fund management group Artemis has promoted two of its fund managers to the ranks of partner.

Nick Shenton and Andy Marsh work on the £5.5bn Artemis Income fund with Adrian Frost and also manage £3.6bn in other UK equity funds at Artemis.

Mr Shenton joined Artemis in 2012 from Polar Capital, and prior to that worked at F&C.

Mr Marsh joined Artemis in 2018, also from Polar Capital, where he had been a partner and employee from 2006 to 2017.

Mark Murray, Artemis’ senior partner, said: "We have invited Nick and Andy to join Artemis’ partnership in recognition of their contribution to the income franchise in particular and to Artemis as a whole.

"Our success rests on excellent long-term investment performance and client service. Our structure as a partnership brings stability and, we believe, helps us always to put our clients first."

Mr Frost has been lead manager on the Artemis UK Income fund since 2002. It has returned 26 per cent over the past five years, compared with 23 per cent for the average fund in the sector in the same time period.

The promotions are with immediate effect.
