Schroders hires ex Architas investment boss for adviser role

Schroders has appointed former Architas executive Anna O’Donoghue to the newly created role of head of operations and governance for the UK adviser business.

Ms O’Donoghue’s hire comes in the wake of the departure of James Rainbow, previously co-head of intermediary at Schroders, who is now heading up the company’s financial advice venture with Lloyds, Schroders Personal Wealth.

Ms O’Donoghue, who joined the business on March 5, will report to Philip Middleton, now sole head of the UK intermediary business at Schroders.

Mr Middleton said: "We operate under a highly sophisticated governance framework and require a high calibre candidate for this role. We are delighted to welcome Anna into our business to support our operations going forward."

Prior to joining Schroders, Ms O’Donoghue worked at Architas for ten years, where she was head of investment and chief operating officer.

In this role she was responsible for the day to day management of the investment team in areas such as compliance, and due diligence.

Prior to that she worked at BMO and Fundquest.
