Quilter Investors reveals details of income range

Quilter Investors is set to launch its income range next week, with a discounted share class available for those who invest in the first six months.

The range will offer two portfolios to UK advisers and their clients, a lower risk monthly income portfolio targeting a higher level of income, and a higher risk monthly income and growth portfolio with a lower level of expected income.

Investors can access a discounted fixed ongoing charge of 0.6 per cent through the Old Mutual Wealth platform if they invest in the first six months of the funds' launch.

Investments after the six-month offer period will carry the standard fixed ongoing charge of 0.85 per cent.

Payments will be distributed monthly, designed to smooth income over the course of a year and allow advisers and clients "increased certainty" over the expected level of yield.

Helen Bradshaw, portfolio manager at Quilter Investors, said the opportunity to manage the new income range was a "huge privilege".

She said: "Quilter Investors is a business singularly focused on multi-asset solutions, and enjoys a close relationship with advisers and their clients, which gives me great enthusiasm that we’re building an innovative range of portfolios that are designed with clients in mind.

"Identifying sources of income has grown increasingly complex in recent years, with a variety of factors making the search for yield more and more challenging.

"Utilising a diverse investment toolkit we will be aiming to produce a reliable, first quartile yield, while recognising the need for investment discipline and resisting the temptation to overreach through our risk-targeted approach."

Part of Quilter, Quilter Investors manages £19.2bn for advised clients in the UK and internationally.

The launch is the first investment offering brought to the market by Quilter Investors since the business was formed in 2018.

Dean Bowden, chief commercial officer at Quilter Investors, said: "Our research conducted with advisers and clients shows us that there is a desire for income solutions that combine the benefits of a risk targeted approach, alongside a smooth income experience with monthly distributions.

"This approach will provide customers with a globally diversified multi-asset income portfolio solution, which offers both reassurance over how the portfolios can be expected to respond to periods of market volatility, as well as delivering a level of predictability over expected monthly income.

"We are very excited to be taking these portfolios to the market with our introductory pricing offer."
