Quilter Cheviot steals investment managers from rivals

Quilter Cheviot has hired a further two investment managers who will join the teams in Glasgow and Jersey respectively.

Daniel Jolliffe joins the Jersey office from Rathbones, having also held roles at Barclays Wealth and Close Brothers Asset Management.

In his new role, he will be responsible for growing Quilter Cheviot’s international business, working closely with the regional development team in Dubai.

Murray Gillan, who was previously at Brewin Dolphin, is joining the team in Glasgow as Quilter Cheviot “looks to grow its presence further in the city”.

Quilter Cheviot has added 16 investment managers to the business in the year-to-date, increasing its investment team to 167.

Andrew McGlone, chief executive of Quilter Cheviot, said: “Our investment team has grown considerably through 2019 and I am delighted that Daniel and Murray have joined us.

“We are already seeing the positive contribution that some of our earlier hires are having to the overall growth of the business and I look forward to welcoming others in the New Year.”

In July, Quilter Cheviot announced it would be opening a 14th office in Leeds.
