LEBC adviser app launches for £15 a year

National advice firm LEBC has launched its adviser app Hummingbird as part of its wider part human, part robo 'bionic advice' service.

The app costs 99p a month, or £9.99 a year on Android. For Apple users the app costs £1.49 a month or £14.99 per year.

It is free for LEBC clients who subscribe to the firm’s annual review service.

The app paves the way for clients to access LEBC’s bionic advice zone where consumers can access mortgages, wills and life cover services through selected partner firms.

The app provides a communication feed with an LEBC adviser on a number of topics. These include: retirement planning, inheritance, later life planning, education funding, and tax efficient investments.

In the development phase of the app, LEBC has decided that no transactions can be made and customers can only view their savings, pensions and investments as part of a security measure.

Jeremy MacLeod, managing director of LEBC Hummingbird, said: “Everyone who has a home and assets is aware of the need to have a will, and those with mortgages know they should shop around for a good deal and have life cover in place to ensure the loan is repaid, but people do not always get organised, however well intentioned.”

He added: "Bionic advice aims to make these tasks easy and cost-effective to complete.”
