Artemis looks to Allianz for new intermediary boss

Artemis Investment Management has appointed Allianz Global Investors' Adam Gent as head of its intermediated business.

The fund house announced today (May 21) Mr Gent would join Artemis at the beginning of August after three years at Allianz GI as managing director and head of Northern Europe distribution.

In the newly created role, Mr Gent will report to Artemis’ head of distribution Jasper Berens.

Mr Berens said: “This is a new and exciting role, created to provide a dedicated and strategic focus for what is a key channel. Mr Gent will work with me and the whole distribution team to build our business across both domestic and international markets.

“His appointment will bring together both the sales and sales management teams to ensure an even more effective structure.”

He added that Mr Gent’s experience and reputation “speak for themselves” and he was “very pleased” he was joining Artemis.

Mr Gent said he was “delighted” to be joining an active manager of Artemis’ “standing, achievement and potential”.

He added: “The opportunities are immense, especially in the intermediated channel at home and abroad. I am looking forward to working with everyone at Artemis to make the most of these opportunities.”

Before joining Allianz GI, Mr Gent was director and head of UK sales at Legg Mason Global Asset Management. That followed roles at Henderson Global Investors and Thesis Asset Management.
