Since the pandemic, economic recovery around the world has been stilted as global supply chains have been disrupted by factory closures, fractured transport networks, labour disruptions and rising energy prices.

The pandemic along with supply chain strains, climatic events and converging disruptions have also sent food prices soaring.

Meanwhile, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, one of the world’s six breadbasket regions, is fuelling a global food crisis.

According to a study by supply chain consulting firm, Proxima, 97 per cent of US and UK investment managers have said they consider the sustainability standards of a business’ supply chain when making investment decisions.

So what impact is all this disruption having on investors and their investments?
