Bonds have offered investors very little protection this year, with higher interest rates and higher inflation pushing yields up and prices down.
But with recession fears rising, it may be that bonds are restored to their traditional role as a safe haven in a storm, with the inverse correlation between equities and bonds restored.
As investors fears turn from protecting against inflation and towards protecting against recession, bonds are likely to be looked at again.
But have bonds fallen to enough of an extent that they are now a buy?
