Over the course of 2022 investors started switching to a value style of investing as inflation rose, economic growth waned, geopolitical tensions grew and central banks adopted an increasingly aggressive monetary tightening strategy.
Rising rates forced investors to identify companies with stable cash flows and resilient earnings, and those that were less impacted by the rising cost of capital.
