Vermeer hires Cazenove director to launch financial planning arm
Chris Hogarth has been appointed managing director of financial planning

Vermeer Partners has hired Chris Hogarth to launch a financial planning arm.

Hogarth has joined the DFM from his role as wealth planning director at Cazenove Capital and he has 20 years experience in other similar positions with companies such as UBS, Kingston Smith Financial Advisers and RSM Tenon.

In his new role, Hogarth will provide financial planning services to the existing Vermeer Partners’ private client base, as well as developing and driving the expansion of Vermeer Financial Planning.

Vermeer Partners chief executive Simon Melling said: “As we enter our fifth year since we were founded, this is an important step in our continued growth strategy.

“Chris brings an energy and entrepreneurial flair, and an absolute focus on the importance of client service. As such he complements the ethos and approach of our partnership, and we are delighted to welcome him to the firm."

Vermeer Partners was founded in 2018 and has more than 40 staff and £1.8bn of assets under management as of July 2022.

It offers execution-only services, a Sipp and an Aim inheritance tax portfolio but the bulk of its business is in the DFM service it runs.
