Ami overhauls board roles

A number of figures in the mortgage industry have been elected to the board of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries.

Mark Graves, sales director at Sesame Bankhall Group, Peter Curran, managing director for financial services at Countrywide, and Stephen Smith, director of Legal & General Housing Partnerships, have all been elected for the first time.

Scott Taylor-Barr of Carl Summers Financial Services has also been elected for the first time.

They are joined by Ray Boulger of John Charcol, Dean Mirfin of Key Retirement Solutions, Andrew Montlake of Coreco and John Whyte of The Right Equity Release who have all been re-elected.

Robert Sinclair, chief executive of Ami, said: “This process ensures that the membership affirms that it is being properly represented.

“I would like to thank all those who stand for election which ensures a democratic process.

“I would also like to express my sincere thanks to Steve Smith of Springtide who is standing down from the board after many years of service and support.

“I know this was difficult decision and would like to express my sincere thanks for his contributions over the years and hope that he may return at some time in the future.”
