More 2 Life gets CII accreditation for adviser webinars

Equity release provider More 2 Life has been given accreditation by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) for its webinar programme.

The series of 12 adviser-focused webinars have been awarded CPD status, to help intermediaries learn more about equity release and how it can help their clients.

According to Stuart Wilson, channel marketing director at More 2 Life, the accreditation recognises the provider's "commitment to professional development within the equity release industry".

As part of the accreditation process, the provider was required to submit all of the course materials for the CII to review.  Only CPD material that meets the CII’s quality standards is given the Institute’s accreditation.

He said the CII accreditation follows from More 2 Life's ‘Big Picture’ campaign last year, which Mr Wilson prompted advisers to rethink the way they communicate with their clients.

The aim of the Big Picture campaign was to encourage advisers to look at the ‘bigger picture’ of later life lending solutions and advice, and to ask themselves if they have addressed all of their clients’ retirement lending needs and asked all of the appropriate questions.

Mr Wilson said: "More 2 Life’s CII accreditation for our CPD webinar programme is a fantastic stamp of quality for us in terms of recognising the quality of content we are now able to deliver to the adviser community.

"Adviser education and awareness has always been a core part of the More 2 Life offering and we are dedicated to improving high quality learning within the later life lending industry."

This comes as NMBA, the training and education programme division of SimplyBiz, achieved accreditation from the Skills Funding Agency to be given the financial apprenticeship standard.

Dean Mirfin, technical director for Key Retirement: "With busy diaries and plentiful CPD events, advisers are stretched more than ever. In response to this More2Life have focussed heavily on creating “to the point” webinars to advisers.

"Being able to either participate live, or view in your own time in particular, is enabling our industry to develop in a way that doesn’t hinder.

"More2Life’s Big Picture campaigns in particular have been rewarded many times over for showing that webinars backed with wider campaigns can be an effective delivery method."
