Aldermore launches new website to boost broker service

Aldermore has launched an easy-to-use website in an effort to improve turnaround times for intermediaries.

The site, intermediaries.aldermore.co.uk, allows brokers across residential, buy-to-let, commercial mortgages and property development finance to access all of the specialist lender’s offerings in one place.

The move is intended to make it easier and quicker for brokers to obtain the required information prior to submitting a client’s case with the bank.

Aldermore has also made a service promise to intermediaries, pledging to assign a specialist underwriting contact to each case, share its underwriting process and case timescales, and work closely with solicitors and site managers.

It also pledged to ensure all customers get the same deal whether using a broker or applying directly.

Charles McDowell, commercial director of mortgages at Aldermore, said: “Our new dedicated mortgage intermediary website is simple and easy to use, with current service turnaround times clearly displayed leading the way in transparency.

“This demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the broker community and will help us to deal with the developments we are seeing in this ever-changing sector.”

Ian Gwinnell, director at Stafford-based All Counties Financial, welcomed the news and said it was important for lenders to boost their online service.

“In today’s times of technology it makes a great deal of sense for lenders to operate in this manner,” he explained. “I prefer to deal with lenders in this way, because it does cut down on a great deal of work in our office.”
