Martin Reynolds has been appointed as the new chairman of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries.
The chief executive of SimplyBiz Mortgages will replace Pat Bunton, who announced he would be stepping down after leaving his role at London & Country.
Robert Sinclair, chief executive of Ami, said: "Martin will carry on the good work that Ami has been doing over the last 15 years and I am looking forward to working with him to develop the trade association in new directions."
Mr Reynolds is currently joint deputy chairman of Ami along with David Copland of TMA, who will continue in his current role.
He has been chief executive of SimplyBiz Mortgages since 2012 and was previously development director at PMS and head of sales at Birmingham Midshires.
