Legal & General has appointed Dave Stratton as distribution director in its home finance business.
In his new role Mr Stratton will be responsible for developing sales and business strategies as well as the service offered to IFAs.
Prior to joining Legal & General, he served as group sales director and a member of the executive committee at Curtis Banks.
Mr Stratton plans to use his experience of working with traditional IFAs to encourage mortgage and wealth advisers to recognise the role of lifetime mortgages in general retirement planning.
His appointment follows Harold Pritchard’s retirement after a 40-year career at Legal & General. Mr Pritchard joined in 1979 and moved to the home finance team in 2015.
