According to Ms Davies, the survey found that “when demand is high and the operating environment challenging, extra effort is needed to maximise resources and stay as effective and efficient as possible”.
She added: “Intermediaries can make a huge contribution to this by packaging and presenting cases where all the necessary information is ‘right first time, every time’.
“And lenders can play their part by making sure their requirements, which may be subject to frequent changes at short notice, are made as transparent as possible.
“Co-operation and clear communication are key.”
