Aviva appoints equity release MD as Neilson moves to new role

Aviva has appointed Matt McGill as managing director of equity release as Greg Neilson moves to a new role with Aviva Investors.

McGill was most recently managing director of workplace savings and retirement at Aviva.

He said: “I am delighted to be taking on the role of MD Equity Release and look forward to building on Aviva’s recognised strength in this market, which has great potential for further growth.

“Equity release has an important role to play as part of the range of solutions we offer to our customers to help with their retirement planning.”

McGill’s appointment as managing director of equity release follows a management shuffle at Aviva.

Last week Aviva announced the appointment of Emma Douglas as its managing director of workplace savings.

Additionally Rob Barker, who was previously managing director of Aviva’s health and protection business, was appointed as managing director of its savings and retirement business last month.
