She continued: “My clients are finding out that EWS1 is just a tick box exercise. It's quite upsetting. Really, we do need the government speaking to the surveyors to make sure these properties under 18 metres are safe, to allow people to actually live in them, or enable them to actually sell them.
“The big picture here is the human cost.”
